Around me, birds chirped happily, gliding through the air with not a care in the world. Slowly, I followed the group along the worn path. There was a peaceful silence hanging in the air, undisturbed by the busy bustle of daily human life that contaminates towns and cities. Surrounding me, the landscape is a kaleidoscope of colours, containing every shade I could imagine. Golden fingers of sunlight stretched across the land, touching every surface, setting it alight with brilliant glow. As we continue along the track, we reach the peak of the pass on the top of the hill, the excited chatter that is being exchanged between hikers goes silent, the walkers taking in the breathtaking view. Looking across the land, it stretches for miles, untouched by the hands of mankind. Luscious plant life spills out into deep valleys. Vibrant greens and oranges splash the scenery with gorgeous hues. Far away in the distance, young fawns could be seen frolicking through the shrubs, under the watchful eyes of their mothers. Along the horizon, the glittering ocean rolls in waves under the setting sun.
