Film Paragraph

In the film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button the director David Fincher uses voice over narration and montage to convey the idea that everyone experiences the same course of life but everyone experiences different things during it. The final montage of shots in the film shows each different person that Benjamin encountered in his life and what they experienced in their own life and their passion. In the scene we can hear Benjamins voice saying, “Some people are born to sit by a river, some get struck by lightning, some have an ear for music, some are artists, some swim, some know buttons, some know Shakespeare, some are mothers and some dance.” This montage points out that even though they are all people that experience life in the same chronological order, they all have different passions and experience different things throughout it and this make everyone individual from others. Individuality is important in life because it makes life interesting and make us memorable. During the montage, the camera moves from Benjamins mother to Daisy dancing. This is an example of how different their lives are but so similar in a certain way.
